Agenda for European Litigation Funding Conference announced

Brown Rudnick has released the agenda for its first annual European Litigation Funding Conference taking place on 17 May 2022 in London.

The one-day conference will bring together international litigation funding market leaders to discuss the opportunities in, and outlook for, litigation funding in 2022.

The conference’s keynote address will be given by Gary Barnett, Executive Director and General Counsel, International Legal Finance Association (ILFA).

Burford backs class action against European power cable groups

Burford Capital is backing a claim seeking compensation for millions of electricity customers in Great Britain. Scott+Scott UK LLP is applying to the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal for approval to bring a collective action against various European power cable companies who allegedly overcharged electricity network operators for power cables, resulting in higher consumer electricity bills.
