Camilla Godman joins Omni Bridgeway

Camilla Godman has joined Omni Bridgeway as Investment Manager, based in London (on secondment to the Singapore office until July 2021). Before transitioning to litigation finance, Camilla was with Ashurst LLP, initially in London and then in Singapore where she developed the firm’s Singapore Disputes’ Practice. She was subsequently Deputy Registrar at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, where her role included scrutinizing all draft awards and leading the counsel team. More recently she has held the title of Director at the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), Asia. Read more.

Omni Bridgeway funds appeal to recover tens of millions of dollars for 1000 Halifax victims

More than 1,000 Halifax investors may recover tens of millions of dollars more of their funds caught up in the collapse of the stock-broking platform thanks to Omni Bridgeway, who has agreed to fund appeals over recent Australian and NZ court judgments regarding Halifax Investment Services Pty Ltd and Halifax New Zealand Limited, both of which are in liquidation.

Omni Bridgeway backs investor appeal

Omni Bridgeway is funding, through a managed investment scheme, an appeal made for the benefit of certain investors of two judgments made in the liquidation proceedings of Halifax Investment Services, a Sydney-based financial services business that collapsed in 2018. Omni Bridgeway will be entitled to 10% of any funds that investors will become entitled to if the appeal is successful.
