Giacomo Lorenzo joins litigation funder Deminor at their Brussels office as legal counsel. Lorenzo will assess litigation funding opportunities in international arbitration and commercial litigation and manage Italian cases in the three core business areas of Deminor: Litigation Funding, Investment Recovery and Antitrust Actions.
Deminor’s approximately 4,000 clients that fell victim to the Madoff fraud have reached a recovery ratio of 88.35% after the latest round of distributions.
France’s financial regulator has fined London-based H2O Asset Management, its group CEO and CIO a total of €93 million ($99 million) “for several breaches committed in the management of French funds relating to investments in financial instruments”. Deminor is funding a legal action against H2O on behalf of the investors who suffered losses.
