The International Legal Finance Association (ILFA) has announced its new board of directors, its chairman, and the executive committee. Swedish price comparison business PriceRunner has filed a claim against Google for a preliminary amount of almost EUR 2.1 billion (SEK 22 billion) at the Patent and Market Court in Stockholm and reports that Nivalion is funding its case. The lawsuit follows the conclusion of the European General Court which established that Google has breached EU antitrust laws by manipulating search results in favour of their own comparison shopping services.

Switzerland-based litigation funder Nivalion and Sweden-based funder Litigium Capital have entered into a strategic partnership. The partnership comprises funding of disputes and provision of legal financing solutions in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden as well as financing Nordic clients globally. Within the scope of the partnership, Nivalion and Litigium Capital will work closely together on a non-exclusive basis and aim to co-fund cases of all sizes.

Andreas Jevtic has joined Nivalion AG as a Senior Case Manager. Before joining Nivalion, he gained years of experience in international arbitration in law firms in Vienna and Frankfurt and as a senior counsel at a Fortune 500 company in Frankfurt and Amsterdam.
Alice Fremuth-Wolf will be joining  European-based Nivalion in February 2022, leaving Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC). After 10 years with VIAC, her new role at Nivalion will be as Market Area Head of Austria and Central and Eastern Europe.
