777 Partners Files Bankruptcy After Creditors' Liquidation Push

777 Partners, the embattled Miami-based investment firm and litigation funder, has filed for Chapter 11 in Texas with more than $2.7 billion of long-term debt after creditors owed about $26 million sought to force the investment firm into involuntary bankruptcy, with existing lenders proposing a $6.2 million new-money facility to fund the wind-down, asset sales and resolution of creditor claims.
