Apple asks US court to overturn jury's landmark $5.7 billion patent verdict

Apple has asked a US federal court to overturn the record $5.7 billion patent infringement verdict awarded to Taction Technology in September over haptic feedback technology used in iPhones and Apple watches, arguing that the damages award was unsupported by evidence and pointing to concerns expressed by the trial judge about whether the jury intended to award that amount. Burford holds a 25% entitlement to the proceeds.
