A High Court’s grant of an asset freezing order in favour of Therium pending arbitration in a dispute over the enforceability its LFA with Bugsby has evoked mixed reactions, with some prompting calls for a worldwide review of the third-party finance sector, and others taking the position that the case will be important in discouraging claimants such as Bugsby from attempting to use PACCAR to walk away from their obligations to their funders.
