Bridge Legal Becomes First Industry Partner of ILFA
Chicago tech provider joins association’s new program for adjacent businesses

The International Legal Finance Association (ILFA) has launched an Industry Partnership Program, announcing on Sept. 16 that Chicago-based Bridge Legal has joined as its inaugural member.
Bridge Legal, founded by CEO Ed Scanlan, provides technology and workflow tools for law firms and litigation funders handling high-volume claims. Its platform is designed to streamline intake, funding, and compliance processes, combining legal expertise with automation to improve efficiency across the litigation lifecycle.
ILFA, formed in 2020 as a global trade body for litigation finance, now counts more than 50 funders and service providers among its members. The new partnership program extends membership to adjacent businesses such as technology providers and legal service operators, offering access to ILFA’s advocacy initiatives, policy updates, and member forums.
“Bridge Legal’s mission has always been to expand human access to justice,” Scanlan said. “By joining as ILFA’s first partner, we are reinforcing our commitment while helping ensure the litigation finance industry remains a tool that empowers individuals with equal access to the justice system.”
“We are delighted to welcome Bridge Legal as the inaugural member of our Partnership Program,” said Rupert Cunningham, ILFA’s global director of growth and membership engagement. “Their work demonstrates how legal finance and services can be used to expand access to justice, and their support will help strengthen ILFA’s efforts to advocate for the industry at a critical time.”
The new partnership reflects ILFA’s effort to broaden its base beyond funders, bringing in service and infrastructure providers whose products shape how financed cases are managed. For Bridge Legal, it offers greater visibility within the global litigation finance community and a seat at the table as the industry continues to evolve.
