Burford substitution hog-tied by District Court

Some are calling a federal judge’s refusal to allow Sysco to transfer its antitrust claims to Burford a “blow to the litigation finance industry”, but Burford maintains this “has nothing to do with litigation funding and everything to do with creditors’ rights”, and has indicated it will seek a review of the decision “as it is illogical to have Burford owning the claims but not being the party in the litigation.”
