CEO of top litigation funder warns against ‘unthoughtful’ industry reforms

Capping litigation funders’ fees would be ‘preposterously dumb’ and make the UK a less attractive place to litigate, warned Burford’s Christopher Bogart, who also said that he was not ‘particularly concerned’ about the Civil Justice Council’s current review of litigation funding but cautioned against ‘unthoughtful’ changes that may hold a ‘superficial’ appeal.
