Class action champion Merricks steps in to trains case

Veteran solicitor Walter Merricks is moving to replace the late David Boyle as class representative in the paused Competition Appeal Tribunal case against Govia Thameslink while simultaneously battling funder Innsworth over its challenge to the £200 million Mastercard settlement, a dispute he criticised as embarrassing and a public distraction for the litigation funding industry.
