Class actions across borders: different regimes, common challenges

A litigation funding roundtable hosted by Global Legal Post and Ashurst Perkins Coie highlighted growing concerns over the economics of collective actions, with Omni Bridgeway’s Chris Lisica describing the UK regime as fragmented and “inefficient” and warning that capital could move elsewhere without greater certainty over funding agreements and regulation, while Germany’s new collective redress regime caps funder returns at 10%.
