Court House Capital backs RAMS class action

Former RAMS franchisees allege the lender breached contractual and statutory duties of good faith

Court House Capital is funding a class action against Rams Financial Group Pty Ltd in the Federal Court of Australia, with the representative proceeding commencing in the Court last week.

The proceeding is being brought by Top Ryde Financial Services Pty Ltd, the former operator of the RAMS Ryde franchise, on behalf of former RAMS franchisees whose franchise agreements were terminated by the lender.

The action was launched in May 2024. TRFS alleges that RAMS breached contractual and statutory duties of good faith by terminating franchise agreements without proper cause.

Court House Capital is providing litigation funding for the representative proceeding. Morris Mennilli is acting for the class, with David Sulan SC and Talia Epstein as counsel.
