Court House Capital funds COVID compensation class action against Jetstar

Australian funder Court House Capital is backing a class action against Jetstar Airways Limited to recover refunds and compensation for customer payments that are alleged to have been unlawfully retained during COVID.

The class action, which was lodged in the Federal Court of Australia by Echo Law on behalf of hundreds of thousands of Jetstar customers whose flights were cancelled during the COVID pandemic, alleges that Jetstar failed to refund customers’ payments for those flights, despite being legally obliged to do so.

Echo Law commenced a separate class action against Qantas in 2023 over its COVID credits program, which is ongoing.
