Court House Capital funds New Zealand class action against Toyota
Court House Capital is funding a class action lawsuit brought by Shine Lawyers alleging thousands of Toyota cars sold in New Zealand since 2015 are faulty. The lawsuit estimates that 35,000 Hilux, Fortuner and Prado models have been fitted with a defective diesel particulate filter in that time.
The Australian Federal Court ruled in favour of 250,000 owners in similar litigation in 2019, finding the value of the cars was reduced by 10% as a result of the defect.
