Court of Appeal shuts down BHP’s attempt to overturn Mariana liability judgment

The Court of Appeal of England and Wales has refused BHP permission to appeal the High Court’s landmark Mariana dam liability ruling, preserving a major victory for claimant firm Pogust Goodhead and clearing the way for the damages phase of one of the world’s largest funded environmental mass claims.
