End the Tax Break for Litigation Funders

Chubb’s CEO Evan Greenberg has continued his campaign against litigation funders, this time joining forces with Marsh McLennan’s CEO John Doyle to argue that the axed tax “could have helped level the playing field by making funders pay as much as actual injured parties for their gains”. Mr. Greenberg also says Chubb is looking carefully at its relationships to make sure that its business partners “aren’t helping to fuel the problem”, while Mr. McLennan says Marsh has refused to work on litigation insurance with funders for several years.
