European Court of Justice clears the path for collective redress in antitrust damages

Jörn Eschment of Burford shares that the European Court of Justice has released a landmark decision paving the way for continued use of collective redress and legal finance in member states, ruling that the EU principle of effectiveness may oblige national laws to provide for means of collective redress in the field of antitrust damages.
