Federal Court reopens popular funding model for class action funders

Cathryn Prowse and Michael Russell of Colin Biggers & Paisley share that the Federal Court of Australia has clarified a controversy that has been vexing litigation funders and class action practitioners, confirming that the Court has power under section 33V(2) of the Federal Court of Australia Act 1976 (Cth) to make orders for settlement CFOs.
