First-of-its-kind UK class action reignites funding feud

The UK CAT has approved the UK’s first class action to comprise a sub-class set, and in so doing rebuffed arguments by defendant truck manufacturers that the budget proposed by the Road Haulage Association was unrealistic, ruling that “appropriate and adequate arrangements” — through funding provided by Therium — had been made by the RHA to fund the claims.
