Funder lent to both parties in former couple’s property battle

The UK Financial Ombudsman Service has found that a funder lent money to both sides of a litigation dispute involving ex-partners fighting over a piece of property. The complaints handler said there was no evidence to show the funder explicitly told the clients it was funding both sides of the litigation, and no sign that the company managed any conflicts of interest.
