Funder lent to both parties in former couple’s property battle

The UK Financial Ombudsman Service found that Novitas Loans created an unmanaged conflict by funding both sides of a former couple’s property dispute without properly disclosing the arrangement, ordering the funder to refund interest and charges and reduce one borrower’s capital liability by half.
