Funder's commission doubles after appeal of 7-Eleven, ANZ class action

Australian funder Galactic has persuaded the full Federal Court in the 7-Eleven class action to scrap a $12 million funding equalisation order in favour of a common fund order (CFO) in the sum of $24.5 million, with the Court ruling that the amount is “commercially realistic and properly reflects the costs and risks Galactic took on by funding the proceedings”.
