Government should clarify the future of litigation funding

Lord Gold, principal of Gold Collins Associates and investment committee chairman of Balance Legal Capital, argues that the UK government can and should legislate to resolve the unsatisfactory state of affairs left over by PACCAR, clarifying the statutory position to be consistent with the long-held understanding of the legal market (and with the government’s original policy intent) that DBAs do not include litigation funding agreements.
