Harbour funds class action against Microsoft

Former senior CPS barrister Alexander Wolfson will be filing an opt-out class action against Microsoft Corporation, Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd and Microsoft Ltd with the UK CAT in the coming weeks.

The case, which is being funded by Harbour Litigation Funding, may end up being one of the biggest class actions in the UK. It is being brought on behalf of thousands of public and private organisations in the UK who were allegedly overcharged for software licences due to Microsoft’s anti-competitive behaviour.

Stewarts’ head of competition law Kate Pollock and partners Stuart Carson and Marc Jones are acting for Mr Wolfson, who has also instructed barristers Jon Turner KC, Rob Williams KC and Luke Kelly at Monckton Chambers and barrister Christopher Brown from Matrix Chambers.
