Hedge Funds Snap Up LA Wildfire Deals as Backlash Sputters

Hedge funds are ramping up purchases of subrogation claims arising from the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, acquiring claims for as little as 3 cents and as much as 60 cents on the dollar after California lawmakers failed to reach agreement on proposed restrictions targeting the practice.
