Hope rises for Nigeria as EFCC tracks suspicious transactions in Mambilla/Sunrise probe

Nigeria’s bid to knock off the $2.3 billion arbitration filed by Sunrise Power and Transmission Company over the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project has received a major boost, with the International Court of Arbitration in Paris granting Nigeria’s application to disapply the “expedited procedure” that would have fast-tracked the proceedings. Burford is reportedly backing Sunrise in the case. More from The Cable.
