ILFA Statement in Opposition to Forced Disclosure Legislation

ILFA has released a statement in opposition to the Litigation Transparency Act of 2025, which would require public disclosure of litigation funding agreements in all US federal civil litigation. ILFA argues the sweeping nature of the bill would harm small businesses and individual Americans who partner with legal funders, forcing disclosure of the sensitive details of their legal strategies in a blatant attempt to further tilt the legal system in favor of the biggest corporate players.
