Innsworth launches judicial review over Mastercard settlement distribution

Innsworth is seeking judicial review of the UK CAT’s approval of the £200m settlement in the Merricks v Mastercard collective action over credit card fees, and is receiving support from Jeremy Marshall of Winward Litigation Funding, who welcomed the review as “an important opportunity to seek clarity on how the CAT assesses what is an appropriate return for litigation funders, without whom there would be no settlement or distribution of damages”.
