Istanbul Arbitration Week 2022

Istanbul is calling…

The first Istanbul Arbitration Week (“ISTAW 2022”) will be held between the 10th and 14th of October 2022 at the historical Sait Halim Pasha Mansion. It is organised by the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (EDAC), which is the only energy sector-based arbitration center with its own rules.

ISTAW 2022 will offer its participants an unforgettable arbitration week with 15 panels, keynote speeches, Bosporus tour, breakfast and closing cocktail, which will last until the October 14 following the opening cocktail on the October 10. Organised with the contributions of sponsors and supporters consisted of leading international law firms, arbitration centers, arbitration organisations and media institutions, ISTAW 2022 will welcome arbitrators, lawyers, academics and arbitration experts from all over the world in this unprecedented event.

ISTAW 2022 will open its doors to panellists and participants from different legal backgrounds, where hot topics in the fields of commercial arbitration as well as energy, construction and investment arbitration will be discussed. From the funding world Jonathan Barnett of Nivallion, Sumru Akter of Omni Bridgeway, Mohsin Patel of Factor Risk will be speaking of various funding option on a panel that is led by Ayse Yazir, the Global Head of Origination at Bench Walk Advisors on 12 October and Christiane Deniger of Burford Capital will be discussing the developments in the Middle East.
