James Hardie leaky homes trial ends early with settlement, but no compensation for owners

The $220 million class action lawsuit against Australian building materials group James Hardie has ended with a mid-trial settlement that will see homeowners receive no compensation for their leaky home claims. Harbour Litigation Funding, which has been backing the case since it was initiated in 2005, will pay James Hardie NZ$1.25 million as part of the settlement. More from Stuff.co.nz.
