Judge slams class action firm for bringing claim without authorisation

A UK court has struck out Pogust Goodhead’s Amazon contamination class action and ordered the firm to pay £900,000 in interim indemnity costs after finding that it commenced proceedings on behalf of Brazilian claimants without authority, while giving the defendant liberty to renew its application to join funder Gramercy for costs purposes.
