Kapatens acquires shares of Eniro and files action against company

Kapatens, a litigation funder focused on the Nordic region, has acquired preference shares in Swedish listed company Eniro Group AB and has filed a court action against the company. The acquisition of preference shares by Kapatens followed a shareholders’ meeting in Eniro whereby it was decided by majority owners to redeem such preference shares in alleged violation of Eniro’s articles of association and Swedish company law. The shares were decided to be redeemed at less than 10 percent of the redemption amount under the articles of association and as set out in the prospectus. Kapatens has now filed an action with Swedish Courts in order to challenge the redemption decision by the shareholders’ meeting. Kapatens acts in cooperation with other minority preference shareholders.
