Legal Services Board moves to sanction SRA for oversight failures in SSB collapse

The Legal Services Board has launched enforcement action against the Solicitors Regulation Authority after an independent review found it failed to act on repeated warnings about SSB Group’s misuse of litigation funding loans, which left thousands of “no-win, no-fee” clients facing crippling costs when the £200 million-funded firm collapsed.
