LitFin funds Belgian private security cartel claim

LitFin is backing a collective action against Securitas, G4S and Seris on behalf of organizations that used private security services in Belgium. The claim alleges that, for 12 years, the private security giants colluded to manipulate prices and divide up the Belgian market, artificially maintaining high rates and depriving client companies of fair competition and competitive prices.

In July 2024, the Belgian Competition Authority sanctioned Securitas, G4S and Seris with a historic fine of 47 million euros in connection with the price fixing.

LitFin estimates the damages suffered by the companies’ clients during the 12 years of the cartel’s existence as potentially exceeding 800 million euros.
