Litigation Capital Management shares fall 40% after termination notice on collective action funding agreement

LCM announced that it received a notice from a funded party seeking to terminate a litigation funding agreement over an alleged breach in connection with a collective action before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal, adding to the troubled funder's difficulties as it manages its existing portfolio, with LCM disputing the validity of the termination, retaining legal counsel and discussing its options with capital providers, while disclosing that it has invested A$2.7 million of its own capital in the case, which is co-funded by Fund 2 and was valued at A$2.4 million as at June 30, 2026. Shares in the funder fell over 40% to 0.301p after the announcement was made.
