Litigation Finance Limits Advance in Louisiana With New Governor
Two Louisiana bills — one which requires parties to disclose litigation finance agreements within 60 days after filing a civil action, and the other which requires disclosure if a foreign entity is funding the lawsuit — have advanced through initial hurdles, as lawmakers hope to take advantage of a change in governors after last year’s effort fell short with a veto.
