Litigation funder Burford fights order denying bid to take over Sysco cases

Burford and Sysco have both asked a judge to reverse a decision that blocked Burford from taking over as the plaintiff in Sysco’s lawsuits, with Sysco arguing that it has been left “in the undesired and impracticable position of having to continue to litigate claims that it no longer owns or has any economic stake in”.
