Makate accuses ‘Please Call Me’ funder of diverting R2.5m

Nkosana Makate has accused the backers of his long-running “Please Call Me” dispute with Vodacom of diverting part of a £250,000 funding advance for personal use, as he seeks to invalidate Black Rock Mining’s agreement and defeat its claim to as much as 40% of his confidential settlement. Black Rock’s representative Errol Elsdon denies fraud and maintains that the funder has a valid contractual claim.
