William Weisman of Parabellum Capital argues that despite critics’ claims, the U.S. commercial litigation finance industry remains small and structurally incapable of “controlling” litigation, comprising roughly 33 funders and just over 300 employees—about 200 of them lawyers—and functions as a lean source of capital that levels the playing field rather than distorting it.
