New Jersey Bill Would Require Disclosure of Third-Party Litigation Funding Agreements

A New Jersey Assembly committee advanced a bill requiring in-camera disclosure of third-party litigation funding agreements in civil and administrative cases, while imposing a 25% recovery cap, joint liability for costs and sanctions, restrictions on funder control and a fiduciary duty requiring funders to act in the best interests of funded parties.
