No EU legislation on third-party litigation funding

EU Justice Commissioner Michael McGrath has confirmed that the European Commission does not plan new regulation of third party litigation funding and will instead focus on monitoring the Representative Actions Directive, a position welcomed by ILFA but noted by Ireland’s Law Society as leaving Ireland an outlier where such funding remains broadly prohibited.
