Patent Owner’s Hearing No-Show Leads To Contempt Threat

The owner of Backertop Licensing, an IP Edge-linked patent-holding company, failed to appear as ordered in a Delaware court Thursday, saying that she was “declining to participate any further” in Judge Connolly’s “judicial inquisition”, prompting the federal judge to set a hearing where the owner can argue against potential civil contempt charges.
