Please Call Me’s Nkosana Makate back in court

Nkosana Makate’s long-running fight with former funder Errol Elsdon has resurfaced as Elsdon’s BVI vehicle Black Rock Mining seeks an interdict to freeze 40% of Makate’s Vodacom settlement pending arbitration over a disputed 2011 funding deal, with both sides trading allegations about the agreement’s cancellation, the funder’s role after 2014, and whether Black Rock has any surviving entitlement to a share of what is estimated to be a nine figure payout.
