Regulating litigation funding – UK government set to take both narrow and broad approaches?
Alistair Kinley of Clyde & Co summarises recent debates in the Lords surrounding the DMCC Bill, with Lord Thomas indicating that he may take the very unusual step of seeking to challenge the scope of the Bill, which he says “provides access to justice to those who fall within the definition of consumer or who can bring their claims before the CAT, but the rest of you, no”.
