Singapore Court of Appeal upholds decision permitting plaintiffs to provide security for costs in the form of costs undertaking from their litigation funder

Kevin Kee of Karas So shares that the Singapore Court of Appeal has upheld a decision permitting plaintiffs to provide security for costs in the form of a costs undertaking from their litigation funder, and concludes that this is a welcome decision for funded parties and their funders in that it will allow security to be provided by way of undertaking rather than more expensive and conventional forms of security.
