Songwriters’ claim against PRS misses beat as CAT refuses certification

The UK CAT has rejected an attempt to bring funded collective proceedings against the Performing Rights Society, ruling that the songwriter-led claim over ‘black box’ royalties be struck out on the basis that it disclosed no reasonable cause of action.
