SRA to require advance notice of law firm M&A deals

The SRA is proposing that law firms notify it when merger or acquisition heads of terms are signed and when they begin handling client money, as it moves toward earlier, risk-based supervision and prepares a separate consultation on the disclosure of third-party litigation funding.
