Sysco cedes antitrust claims to litigation funder Burford as two sides drop cases

Burford and Sysco have resolved their dispute over the control of Sysco’s claims against poultry suppliers, with both parties agreeing to drop their competing lawsuits in federal court in New York and Chicago. Sysco has assigned all of its remaining claims against the poultry suppliers to a Burford affiliate, which now has complete control — not just limited veto power — over Sysco’s claims in the litigation.
