Tata Power-Kleros Row Spotlights Arbitrators Rules & Third-Party Funding

A Singapore court has upheld a US$490.32 million arbitration award for Kleros Capital Partners against Tata Power. Omni Bridgeway funded Kleros. Tata argued two arbitrators should have disclosed other appointments in Omni Bridgeway funded cases. On 26 August the court rejected the bias claims. It also declined to treat funders as parties for disclosure. Tata plans to appeal.
